The “digger bite”

In the coming months, the connecting road from Tuttlingen to the Rußberg is to be rehabilitated. The previous road was very narrow in some places and not passable at the side edges. The ground-breaking ceremony on 7 June 2019 marks the start of the project, which will see the first use of a new method in the Tuttlingen district.

In the so-called “NovoCrete process”, the existing road surface is removed, mixed on site with special minerals and then reinstalled. This new process is more sustainable, more environmentally friendly and faster than conventional methods. Another positive aspect of the process is that it is cost-effective to carry out and maintain.
